PRICES AND WAGES Japan has suffered five consecutive months of deflation: consumer prices fell by 0.3% in the 12 months to June. Swiss consumer prices rose by 0.7% in the 12 months to July. Producer prices in France, Italy and the Netherlands all fell in the 12 months to June. Swedish workers had a wage increase of 1.3% in the 12 months to May, a rise of 1.4% in real terms.
