PRICES AND WAGES In June, America's 12-month rate of consumer-price inflation rose slightly, to 2.3%. In the same period consumer prices rose 1.7% in Germany, 3.2% in the Netherlands and 0.4% in Sweden. Producer prices in America fell by 0.1% in the year to June. Britain's workers received pay rises of 4.3% in the year to May, a real increase of 1.7%.
