EL SALVADOR’S PRESIDENT reacted to his re-election victory on February 4th with his usual understatement. Before any official results were announced, Nayib Bukele claimed to have won at least 85% of the vote. In a speech from the presidential palace he called this “the record in the entire democratic history of the world”.
