PRICES AND WAGES American consumer prices rose by 0.1% in November; the 12-month rate slowed to an 11-year low of 1.8%. Producer prices fell by 0.5% in the same month, contributing to a year-on-year drop of 0.6%. Also in November annual consumer-price inflation rose in the Netherlands (to 2.5%) and Spain (to 2.0%). German producer-price inflation fell to 2.7%.
