Donald Trump made his first appointment since winning the presidency. Susie Wiles, his de facto campaign manager, will be his chief of staff. Our recent profile describes her as “level-headed, highly organised and a problem-solver”, which sound like the sort of qualities the undisciplined Mr Trump should want in his top adviser. He praised Ms Wiles for helping him to achieve “one of the greatest political victories in American history”.
