UAW endorses Joe Biden; Haley bullish after New Hampshire defeat

The United Auto Workers union endorsed Joe Biden, who calls himself the most pro-labour president in American history and joined the UAW on the picket lines last autumn. Shawn Fain, the union’s leader, said Mr Biden was its “best shot at taking power for the working class,” and called Donald Trump a “scab”. The endorsement could drive turnout in swing states like Michigan, a hub of auto manufacturing.
