A panel of judges in Washington, DC, seemed doubtful of Donald Trump’s argument that he should be immune from criminal prosecution for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election. At the hearing, which Mr Trump attended, lawyers insisted that his actions are protected because they were undertaken while he was president, and that the case—one of five Mr Trump faces in 2024—should be tossed out.
