TRADE, EXCHANGE RATES AND RESERVES On June 11th the dollar dipped below 111 yen, a seven-month low, having fallen by 12.5% in two months. The greenback shed 1.4% in trade-weighted terms in the week to June 11th. In April Japan's visible-trade surplus climbed to $8.1 billion, up from $5.6 billion in March. Its 12-month trade surplus rose to $81.2 billion; its current-account surplus grew to $66.9 billion.
