China's visible-trade surplus narrowed to $29.6 billion in the 12 months to August. In July Argentina posted its fifth consecutive trade surplus, cutting the 12-month deficit to only $0.4 billion. In the year to the second quarter, Venezuela's current-account surplus grew to $10.0 billion; in the same period the Czech Republic's current-account deficit widened to $1.4 billion.
