ECONOMY Mexico's economy continued to surge, growing by 7.6% in the year to the second quarter thanks to robust consumer spending. The country's industrial production also jumped by 7.2% in the year to June. Over the same period Colombia's output growth slowed but was still up by 12.5%. China's trade surplus narrowed slightly to $31.9 billion in the year to July.
